Inches of Patience

I really should get this going! Here goooes:
Living in Los Angeles, or actually commuting in Los Angeles, is so frustrating! I’m sure every driver feels exactly the same way. When you’re at the bottom of the 405 and can the anthill of cars all the way up behind your car through the rearview window, you wish you could’ve slept in that extra hour and beat the traffic altogether. Coupled with the fact that I don’t like to pay for parking and would rather find street parking, it makes me over half an hour to find parking now that school is in session! Krazy! I simply hate driving in LA.
Do you feel the same way? It brings me hope that the High Speed Rail will come soon — or the Subway to the Sea from LA to Santa Monica. What are your solutions for sitting through traffic? I honestly just stay in my car, roll down the windows a bit, and take a nap until I feel ready to go. Or I drive to a nearby gym. Or I go grab some food and sit down with my book of the moment. Or I go to happy hour. It’s not as if I have anything to come home to: no pets that need caring; no lover waiting for me.
In order to be efficient with time on the road, I wonder if there is actually a clear solution. I could carpool, but then I would be constrained by the other person’s schedule. Plus, I wouldn’t be able to take my pleasant little naps. Perhaps there is no easy answer to this problem. For now, I will just advise: patience.
Welcome!!!

Welcome to the launch of this blog!
Since I recently had some free time on my hands, I decided to make this as a place where people can come to explore new ideas, learn about the world, and get some life tips. I built this with the notion in mind of saving, especially in this recession: saving money, saving the environment, and most importantly saving time.
